I am so proud of all the hard work it took to get through this semester! Everyone deserves a restful break and a Happy New Year! Please take some time to enjoy special moments at home with your families. I have made a list of fun things to do during the Christmas break if you need some ideas.
๐๐ ๐Things to do during the holidays with your family, inside or outside.
1. Donate. Before or after new toys make it into your house,
make a few piles and choose what to donate, throw away, or keep.
2. Go on a scavenger hunt outside. Parents, make a list or take some
photos of things in the yard, then kids, go find each one.
3. Make some ornaments for the tree. Use what you have at home,
even sticks, rocks, evergreen twigs, or repurposed lids can be used to
make homemade ornaments.
4. Make bird feeders for your trees outside. Use gelatin mixed with birdseed
and molded in a muffin tin, or coat a pine cone in peanut butter and
roll in birdseed. Birds will love either one!
5. Pretend! Turn your playroom into a coffee shop, toy store, or grocery store.
6. Go for a hike. Clarksville has many places to take a hike or a walk.
Put on your coat and hat and get outside!
7. If we don’t have snow outside, make a snowman inside.
Use whatever you have: paper plates, white paper, ribbon, glitter, etc. to get
creative and build a snowman!
8. Make a mural. Use painter’s tape to tape up several feet of craft paper
or the white side of wrapping paper. Create your mural using markers
and crayons!
9. Draw and design your own thank you cards for all those wonderful gifts!
10.Start a gratitude journal. It’s proven, feeling grateful makes us feel
happier and healthier!
